Hey Natives!

It's been quite a while since we've brought some herb goodness to you!

This one is right in time for the change in seasons happening as we transition into summer this month!

The change of seasons is a great time to start a detox, especially with the onset of higher allergic symptoms due to a higher pollen account. You'd be surprised at how many chronic symptoms can be reduced or even cleared when you start to regularly reboot your digestive system! The great part about it is that you can start where you are with what you have. We have some awesome tips in one of our previous posts that will naturally help you prep for a detox by introducing some simple, plant-based alternatives into your diet. (You can check them out by clicking here)

This month's featured herb, Marshmallow Root, is a great herb to use when you're looking to rebalance your digestive system in particular. Its high mucilage content helps to reduce inflammation in the gut by creating a protective lining along the digestive tract. For those suffering from discomfort associated with leaky gut, Crohn's disease, IBS and stomach ulcers, I highly recommend adding this herb into your healing regime.

By the way, Marshmallow root is used in our "Solar Fusion" Digestive Herbal Blend too! So definitely go check it out in the shop by clicking on the picture above!

Marshmallow Root also helps to reduce cough and cold symptoms by soothing mucous membranes. This is good news for those dealing with chronic inflammation and swelling associated with dry cough and other respiratory ailments.

For liver restoration, you can look to this herb to help, as it helps to reverse damage to bile ducts which are very important to the liver's detoxing capabilities. Marshmallow root also binds to heavy metals; carrying them out of the body to prevent any further damage. This is a great help to liver function as well.

Last but not least, Marshmallow Root is amazing for women! It assists with relieving vaginal dryness, as well as inflammation that is possibly related to a vaginal infection. A healthy vagina is a juicy one, ladies! *wink* As the child-bearers of the world, we deserve relief when needed.

Are you surprised of the many benefits of this herb that inspired a fluffy snack we are all familiar with? Who would've thought!
