Refreshing Herbal Drinks: Hibiscus Iced Tea
After quite a long version of late winter, it feels like warm weather is finally here to stay! With summer quickly approaching, you may find yourself getting the urge to indulge in your favorite flavored drinks and juices to cool down from the heat. Although some of those things bring feel-good feelings while on the go, at festivals and social events, the excessive sugar content they contain may not be the best for you in the long run. During the warmer months, you don't want to be slowed down due to the inflammation excessive sugar and acid can cause! Yikes.
Drinking water and naturally flavored water is always an alternative. But sometimes, you want a little more "oomph" in your beverages to give you the flavor pep you're craving. I totally get it! So, how can you more consciously indulge in refreshing summer drinks that are nutritious AND taste just as good?
We have the perfect recipe for you! Our Hibiscus Herbal Iced Tea is the perfect tasty substitute for both you and your kids! Luna and Jai love drinking this tea and it definitely helps me to drink more water in between herbal infusions.
How to Make Hibiscus Herbal Iced Tea
 1 cup Hibiscus flowers
1 half pineapple chunks
6 tablespoons Turmeric
3/4 cup honey
Spring Water (optional) - 1 gallon
Add hibiscus flowers, pineapple chunks and turmeric to 1 gallon of room temperature spring water . To dissolve the honey, warm up a small amount of water, then add.  Once the honey has dissolved, add the mixture into the pitcher along with everything else. To make it sweeter, simply add a little more honey, to taste. Mix, stir and let it chill for a cold infusion in the fridge.

Tried this and it was delicious and refreshing. I’m not a big fan of turmeric, but I didn’t taste much. A good way to get that in without really tasting it.
